This collection is comprised of 64 art works from William (Bill) A. Heintz's collections, it includes paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and fiber art. Heintz was an enthusiastic supporter of Luther College and regularly attended cultural events on campus. The donation was made following his death on July 24, 1997. In addition to the objects accessioned into the Fine Arts Collection, the Luther College Ethnographic/Archaeological, Natural History, Archives, and Geology collections also accessioned items from Heintz's collections of many interests. Over 600 books, records, and CD's were added to the Luther College Library from his estate. Heintz kept documentation of his works, providing context for all of his donations.
