Félix Saturnin Brissot de Warville

Conventional small-son of Jacques Pierre Brissot and pupil of Léon Cogniet, he specialized in rustic scenes and animal (with a predilection for sheep), and painted landscapes of various French provinces (Normandie, Ile-de-France, center, Pyrenees). He was a disciple Adolphe Martial-Potémont. Under the Second Empire , he served as manager of the functions of the Palace of Compiègne.
