Heather Riley

Since her graduation, Riley has relocated to the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she now lives and works. She has achieved a BFA degree in art as well as a Post Baccalaureate degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. During her artistic career, Riley has been shown in numerous solo and group shows and is currently a member of the 3rd Street Gallery in Philadelphia. Working mainly with oils, acrylics, and found objects, Riley crafts images that “attempt to create questions of belonging and identity.” Her pieces include commonplace objects, as well as those not seen in the everyday. Riley sates: “My experiences at Luther taught me a lot, but mainly cemented my practice, and for this I will be forever grateful.”
