BiographyJohann (Hans) Larwin was born June 12, 1873, in Vienna, Austria. He studied in Vienna before coming to America where he lived in Chicago from 1922-1924. During that time he exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Palette and Chisel Club as well as in venues in Memphis and Milwaukee. He sold numerous paintings while living in America. After returning to Austria he was a professor at the Wiener Akademie from 1930 to 1938. Larwin died in 1938.
